US Debt Crises

Are we going to another recession..?

Last night (4 August 2011) Dow Jones drop 4.3% followed by massive equity sell down all over the world.

today KLSE drop 1.45% and STI drop around 3%

World markets have continued to drop amid fears that debt crises in Europe and the United States may provoke a new global financial crisis.

Investor confidence has been shattered by news that the United States may be heading toward another recession, and that the European Union may be forced to bail out the failing economies in Italy and Spain.

Officials in Asia have now called for greater coordination worldwide to prevent the U.S. and European crises from sinking the global economy.

Japan's Economy Minister Kaoru Yosano said it was critical for economic policymakers to work together. "The entire world is connected through finance, so what happens in New York or London doesn't just happen there," Yosano said. "So it is important that we keep all financial markets in mind.”

How To Buy a Property Through a Real Estate Agent

Garden@one south, Seri Kembangan, Selangor
RM 380k - RM 580k

STEP 1:
Call an agent and specify the type of property you are looking for (condominium, semi detached house etc), the preferred location (near town, near hospital etc) and most importantly your budget.

STEP 2:
The agent narrows down the choices of properties in his portfolio and arranges viewings for you.

STEP 3:
You offer what you think the property is worth on the current market. (Depending on how fast you and the seller come to agreement, the process can be short as an hour or as long as several weeks.

The Greens, Tmn Tun DR. Ismail
STEP 4:
When the amount is agreed upon, the earnest deposit of 3% (of purchase price) is paid to the agent.

STEP 5:
Engage a lawyer to draw up the sale and purchase agreement (S&P). You have 14 days to sign the S&P, upon which the remaining 7% of downpayment has to be paid.

STEP 6:
You may then want to get a bank loan, which take about a month to complete

STEP 7:
The transfer of title takes place. With a freehold property, it takes about three months from the signing of S&P. For a leasehold unit, it takes 6 month to a year.

Sugar, sugarbabe, or sugardaddy

Coarse and fine sugar now cost RM 2.30 a kilo after 20 sen increase last May. According to news report Malaysians consumed about 1.4 million tons of sugar last year, and demand has been growing at a compound annual growth rate of 3.4% over last 10 years.

Malaysia ingest more sugar than its neighbours at an average per capita consumption of 50Kg; Thailand come second with 40Kg while Indonesia, India and Philippines trail with 20Kg.

With the price increase, consumption may be lowered, and that is good for our health.

Professor Lustig from the University of California says sugar consumed quickly in large quantities is the primary reason behind the high number of obese and diabetic person. In addition, high sugar consumption also related to heart disease, hypertension and many common cancers.

How much sugar in our food?

How to apply IPO via online?

What does IPO means?
investopedia definition:
The first sale of stock by a private company to the public. IPOs are often issued by smaller, younger companies seeking the capital to expand, but can also be done by large privately owned companies looking to become publicly traded.

In an IPO, the issuer obtains the assistance of an underwriting firm, which helps it determine what type of security to issue (common or preferred), the best offering price and the time to bring it to market.

Also referred to as a "public offering".
